Classic/adorable shoes

Cheers to posting on time this week!! :)
Anyways, I feel like these shoes are really cute! Both pairs can be found at Payless Shoesource.
The first pair is from Brash and is called Women's Gemini Flat.

The rhinestones are a super cute touch and I haven't seen any shoes like these before. I really love them. The outter fabric feels silky and smooth, so I don't recommend wearing them in the rain or in any sort of condition in which they would get really dirty, as they will probably be next to impossible to get clean. They add the perfect amount of personality to an everyday outfit without being overwhelming. These were $26.99.

The next pair is a wedge pump by Dexter, but for whatever reason it is not on the payless website. I don't recall how much these babies cost though.

Every girl needs a pair of nude heels of some sort. It doesn't matter if it is nude pumps, stilettos, wedges, kitten heels, cone heels, square heels, spool heels, sling backs, just have a pair of nude heels. Up until now, I have never found the pair of nude heels. I don't believe that this is the pair, but it is definitely a close second! I love them so much! These are more of a tan color than a nude, but they are super close. Nude heels are incredibly versatile, so you can pair it with pretty much anything and pull it off. Nude heels are definitely timeless. J'adore!
Good luck on your shoe journey!, Annie

Mall Cosmetics Haul!

Finally making this post! Sorry it has taken me a while! Let's begin. :)

Up first is a new scent from Bath & Body Works called Malibu Heat. I decided to get the lotion for once. :)
I like this scent. Their lotions are decent, nothing too special. It really does remind me of the beach! There are hints of pineapple and orange in it too.
One of my favorite perfumes ever for when I'm feeling flirty is the Gorgeous perfume from Victoria's Secret.
So I guess this is their holiday gift size bottle. It came in an ornament-like package and is quite small. However, it is just as strong as the full size bottle. I hate the full size bottle. The squeezy thing is just cheap. Yes, I will admit that it's cute, but it comes so easily disconnected. Awful! I didn't want their fragrance mist in this scent because it isn't as strong and wears off a lot faster that the eau de parfum. So naturally I was looking for an eau de parfum or cologne in this sent. I found it and will love it till it's gone! <3

Also from Victoria's Secret I purchased their Deep-Softening Body Butter in Secret Craving.

Of course the first picture is of the nice, brand new tub of lotion...and then we have the second picture, I used it twice and then dropped it. My bad. But at least you can see the texture. It has a nice bounce to it in the container and feels great being smoothed on your legs after a shave. Nice and moisturizing, not sticky at all, and this scent...omg...very enticing! Apparently what you smell is black currant and vanilla absolute. :)

I also got the shower gel in Secret Craving.
Same amazing scent as above. This gel creates a nice lather. The scent lasts for a long while after your shower is over, which I love, since I shower before bed. By morning the scent is gone, unless you add the body butter afterwards too. :)

Then I purchased the eau de toilette in Secret Craving, since it was 3 for $25. :)
Same great scent, only more. One thing I do dislike is that it wears off in around an hour, but it is still subtly there and becomes one of those scents that you have to get close to a person to smell. :)

From some salon that I don't recall that was in the mall I purchased two hair products. The first it Bed Head's Totally Baked, which is a volumizing and prepping hair meringue.

This baby does exactly what it says! Almost immediately I can see the volume at my roots. I like to let my hair air dry and even with wet hair, the volume is added, and is still there in the morning. I use this as the very first thing on my hair after my shower, the smell gags me a bit, but smells wonderful when you apply Glaze Haze after it.

From the same salon I also purchased Bed Head's Glaze Haze, a smoothing hair serum.

I also apply this to my wet hair, right after my shower. If you're not careful with this product, you will easily become a greaseball. One pump is fine, but make sure to begin at the tips of your hair, NOT your roots. (roots are at the top of your head, connecting the hair to your scalp. Tips are the ends of your hair, where the hairs end. I know people tend to get confused with the terms of roots and tips) This product makes my hair smell so wonderful! :)

Sephora is where I did the bulk of my shopping. I have been eyeing Lavanila's deodorant for a while, I just never knew exactly what scent I wanted. This last time, I found it.
It is their Vanilla Summer scent. I love it. Very summery and even the cashier asked what scent I had on. I wish I had gotten their perfume in this scent. Not much of this deodorant is necessary to be ensured 'coverage' through the day.

Another product by Lavanila is their Pure Vanilla scent in an eau de parfum rollerball.
My mother actually gave me this since it isn't exactly her kind of scent, and she knows how much I love my sweet smells (as long as they aren't artificial-smelling and don't make you gag). I enjoy this scent quite a bit. Plus, it lasts all day, like the entire day, which is rare for sweet scents, but I'm not complaining!!

Before Sephora had even gotten Eyeko's Skinny Brush mascara, I had been looking forward to them recieving the Curvy Brush mascara. And with things had gone so well with the Skinny Brush mascara, I had my heart set on purchasing the Curvy Brush mascara.

This mascara is designed with curl and hold in mind, rather than length. This made me slightly depressed. The reason for this is because I don't really care too much about 'curl & hold', that's what eyelash curlers are for and you set that curl with a mascara. This would be better for those who don't want to use an eyelash curler, but seeing as I do it isn't of much help. However, when I use this as a base coat after curling my lashes, then apply the Skinny Brush mascara, my lashes look fabulous! I don't think I'll be repurchasing based upon the fact that it doesn't lengthen or really thicken my lashes. I would recommend this for those who don't want to use an eyelash curler or have a problem with your lashes staying curled. This mascara also comes with a little 'shield' to keep the mascara off of your eyelids.

Then a simply cute purchase was a pack of Hello Kitty Nail Art Stickers and the design of these is Modern Icons.
I think these are really cute, but I have yet to test these puppies out. I will try and do a post of them when I do. I feel like most of us, as little girls love and admire Hello Kitty; then as we hit double digits, we think she is a childish icon and want to adorn ourselfs with "grown-up" things so ignore how cute she is; then later in life around say 17, we begin to adore her again and remember the times which we associate with her: innocent times, carefree times. I have found myself loving her again, more and more.

A wonderful product from Smashbox that I got is their Photo Finish Foundation Primer.
As you can see, this primer is clear. It glides on easily, and allows any make-up you apply over it to do the same. I simply apply this with my hands (make sure they're freshly cleaned). This product makes any dry patches on my face disappear seem moisturized. I love it. I used a sample pack of this for a super long night out. I had applied my make-up early afternoon and of course, applied this before anything else, but after moisturizer. Eight hours out (sweating and dancing included) and with my make-up on for a total of 15 hours, my make-up remained perfect, it was like I had just applied it all through the night and I didn't touch it up once! No creasing, no sliding, nothing, only perfection! Je l'aime!! <333

Also from Smashbox, is their Limitless Eye Liner in Smoke.

The color is a charcoal grey, but more of a black if applied with a heavy hand. I loveeee this liner! With pencil liners I feel that I can never get a thin line close to my lashes, it takes me more time and the line is always thicker with other liners. With this one I can get a fairly thin line and there will be zero gaps at my lash line, and I mean zero! In the cap, there is a pretty decent sharpener. There are three parts to the cap, the cover to the sharpener, then something that goes into the end of the sharpener (I'm not sure what the purpose of this part is, the cap functions and closes just fine without it, so it's no big deal if lost), and then the sharpener itself. All in all, a really good pencil. :)

With my purchases at Sephora, I recieved two free samples. The first is DDF's Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew.
This is a really good moisturizer, I was definitely shocked! I might actually go back for this in a full size bottle. This was absolutely light-weight and oil-free! My face did feel the moisture and has made a noticable improvement just from this sample pack.

The second sample is from Ole Henricksen. This moisturizer is Truth Crème Advanced Hydration.
I don't think I have ever actually hated a product, but this one I do, I truly do. When I applied it to my face, I felt smothered with oil. On top of that there is this fake orange scent to it, it's like a medical and artificial scent, like they tried to make it smell good, but they failed miserably. It did not absorb quickly like it claims, and the only reason it 'glides' onto your skin is because there is so much grease in it. It can't be the possibility that the ingredients separated and I just got the oil, since I squished the packet around before opening it, because I know that some products separate. I had to wash this off of my face mostly because of the overwhelming scent. I do not recommend this product to anyone, unless you like that sort of fake disgusting orange scent and a greaseball face. Sorry if you do like this product and have maybe had a different experience with it, but it is just not for me!

Something I ordered off of amazon.com is the Treat Soft Candy Vanilla Buttercream scented Old Fashioned Jumbo Flavored Lip Balm. That sure is a mouthful! Ha! You can get it off of their website, but they send to you through amazon anyways. I just typed in the name and the seller was Treat Beauty, so I knew it was authentic. It doesn't really matter whether you're buying it on their website or from amazon, it's still them, unless it is listed by another seller.

I was sooo excited when I recieved this in the mail! This little number really is jumbo! I didn't expect it to be so large, but I am glad that it is. It takes a lot less time to apply that a regular size lip balm does. All about saving time over here. Ha! It smells so good I could eat it! The best thing about it is that it's 100% natural and there are only 5 ingredients!! The ingredients are: Coconut Oil, Beeswax, kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Shea Butter, Natural Vanilla Flavoring. Now there s no possible way for this to be bad for your lips (unless you're allergic to any ingredients). It smells deliciously sweet, there is no taste to it, and feels great on my lips. It isn't oily at all! I have also been putting it on my recently dry hands and it really helps, and quickly at that!

I'm going to do another post about two fantastic pairs of shoes I recently purchased next weekend. I realize it's not make-up, but they are so classic and fantastic that I have to share! So be on the lookout for that post. I will most definitely be posting that one on time! I hope you enoyed this post!

Please subscribe to my blog and comment to let me know what you think of it and what else you would like to see. Thank you! :)
Enjoying all of my new products, Annie

My Shellac Experience!

I would like to start with apologizing for my month hiatus! ...One of these days I will continually post on time! I've been meaning to do a nail polish post on some of my favorite spring/summer nail colors, but I got shellac April 20th. :)
I had an event to go to on Saturday and got my nails done on Friday. I love the people I go to for my nails, they're so nice and truly do have the longevity of a manicure in mind, they're not just about making money. I was hoping for a french manicure and did not want acrylics because I don't want to mess up my nails strength, seeing as they're quite strong on their own, but I wanted the look of acrylics. They recommended that I get a shellac french manicure, which I didn't know they could do, I thought that it was a 'solids only' kind of thing. Anyways, I got the shellac and I am so happy with the result.
What is it?: Shellac is is similar to nail polish, but lasts for at least 14 days with zero chipping, scratching, or smudging. Some shellac claims to make nails stronger later, but I didn't notice it right after, but two weeks of being free from it, they do seem to have a new found strength. My nails were also quite strong with the shellac still on them, very similar to acrylics.
I'm not sure why I took a picutre with my toes? I had them done too though, just regular polish. Anyways, above is what my shellac looked like the first day! It didn't take long for them to apply and treat the shellac with a UV light. Very quick process, even with the shaping of my nails.

So here is what my shellac looked like 2 weeks in. I did pick at my shellac this day before the picture; however, my thumb is what they had looked like before I was picking it off. Ha, sorry!
This stuff is amazing! If I was made of money, I would no longer use regular nail polish! My nails were pretty healthy after the removal of the shellac, I did cut them after I removed the shellac though because they were somewhat weak and didn't want my nails to split. I did do the removal myself with pure acetone, my nail salon knows what kind of person I am and that I will use it only for the purpose of removing shellac. I can tell you that most salons will want you to return for removal because you can't remove it with just nail polish remover and I don't recommend picking it off.
If you have the money and around 30 minutes of spare time, I highly recommend getting it done!
Shellac lovin', Annie
